Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin flagged off a major convoy of relief vehicles from the DMK headquarters at Anna Arivalayam in Chennai, dispatching 1.5 lakh kilograms of quality rice organized by the Chennai South district unit to families affected by Cyclone Fengal. Highlighting the party's prompt humanitarian mobilization, Stalin commended Transport Minister S.S. Sivasankar for distributing 25,000 cooked meal packets in Ariyalur and MSME Minister T.M. Anbarasan for mobilizing 1 lakh kilograms of rice in Kancheepuram North.
Demonstrating personal commitment to the ongoing rehabilitation drive, Stalin announced the donation of his entire monthly salary as Chief Minister to the Chief Minister's Public Relief Fund. He underscored that while the state administrative machinery executes official rescue operations around the clock, party cadre must maintain active presence on the ground to provide immediate sustenance, clean drinking water, and dry rations to displaced working-class families.
Stalin affirmed that the Dravidian movement has always functioned as a benevolent people's movement that rushes to assist citizens during natural calamities. He assured the public that comprehensive relief distributions will continue until complete economic normalcy is restored across all cyclone-hit districts.
