Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin inaugurated three major urban infrastructure and public welfare projects across Chennai, enhancing transit facilities, environmental spaces, and civic healthcare delivery. Stalin commissioned a state-of-the-art omni bus terminal at Mudichur, developed with advanced parking bays capable of accommodating 150 private buses simultaneously, passenger waiting halls, and dedicated driver resting quarters to decongest southern arterial corridors.
Adjoining the sprawling Kalaignar Centenary Bus Terminus in Kilambakkam, the Chief Minister dedicated the Kalaignar Centenary Climate Park, a meticulously designed ecological green space featuring indigenous tree plantations, pedestrian walking trails, and water percolation ponds designed to mitigate urban heat islands. Additionally, Stalin unveiled a thoroughly renovated round-the-clock medical treatment center at the bustling Koyambedu wholesale market complex, providing immediate diagnostic and clinical healthcare access to thousands of daily wage laborers, agricultural traders, and traveling market visitors.
Accompanied by Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority officials, Stalin stated that modernizing transit infrastructure while expanding civic green cover defines the Dravidian Model's balanced urban planning vision. He affirmed that these coordinated public assets will substantially improve daily mobility and environmental quality for millions of metropolitan residents.
