Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin laid the foundation stone for the permanent campus buildings of Arulmigu Kapaleeswarar Arts and Science College in the Kolathur assembly constituency. Expressing deep affection for the students who warmly welcomed him as a paternal figure, Stalin recalled that the college was originally established to provide affordable degree education for local youth and had been operating from temporary rented premises.

The Chief Minister commended the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments department and Minister P.K. Sekarbabu for utilizing temple resources to create high-quality educational infrastructure for underprivileged students. By building state-of-the-art classrooms, specialized science laboratories, and library facilities, the new college campus ensures that students from working-class households in Kolathur and surrounding areas can pursue higher education without financial strain.

Stalin emphasized that the true essence of spiritual and temple administration lies in providing education, nutrition, and social advancement to the poor.
