Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin addressed party workers through his special 'Letter to Brethren' missive, celebrating the silver jubilee of the iconic Thiruvalluvar Statue in Kanniyakumari, formally named the Statue of Wisdom. Stalin recalled that former Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi erected the towering 133-foot stone monument to immortalize the ethical philosophy of Thirukkural. He noted that the monument's enduring presence mirrors Karunanidhi's lasting intellectual stature.
The Chief Minister observed that just as the granite monument withstood the devastating 2004 tsunami waves unscathed, Tamil Nadu will overcome all political challenges and administrative hurdles to advance steadily. He described the silver jubilee commemoration at the dawn of 2025 as a historic occasion to reaffirm the state's commitment to social equality, rationalism, and secular humanist governance. Stalin extended an open invitation to citizens everywhere to participate enthusiastically in the celebrations.
Stalin urged cadres and citizens to embrace Thirukkural as a living ethical code for daily public life. He reaffirmed that the state administration will continue safeguarding Tamil cultural sovereignty and celebrating historic literary landmarks. The letter underscored that collective pride in classical heritage strengthens the moral foundation of modern Tamil society.
