Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin announced the launch of South Tamil Nadu's first TIDEL Park facility in Thoothukudi, marking a major milestone in decentralizing the state's information technology infrastructure. Stalin observed that establishing state-of-the-art technology parks outside major metropolitan areas creates direct career pathways for talented local graduates, allowing educated youth to secure high-paying professional employment close to their hometowns.
The Chief Minister highlighted the rapid expansion of information technology infrastructure across tier-two and tier-three centers, citing the Pattabiram TIDEL facility alongside emerging TIDEL Neo hubs in Villupuram, Thanjavur, Salem, and Thoothukudi. These modern industrial spaces generate thousands of formal jobs, fueling inclusive and regionally balanced economic development under the Dravidian Model framework. Stalin revealed that upcoming facilities in Vellore, Tiruppur, and Karaikudi will further widen access to technology-driven employment.
Stalin affirmed that his administration remains dedicated to transforming every district into an active investment destination. By combining industrial infrastructure with targeted skilling programs, Tamil Nadu continues to strengthen its stature as a global technology destination. He commended the Industries Department and Guidance Tamil Nadu for executing these projects ahead of schedule.
