Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin honored student winners of statewide competitions organized to commemorate the silver jubilee of the iconic 133-foot Thiruvalluvar Statue in Kanniyakumari. Over seventeen thousand school and college students participated in literary and oratorical contests designed to celebrate the timeless wisdom of Thirukkural. Stalin expressed profound pride that his Dravidian Model administration had the honor of organizing the milestone silver jubilee celebrations.
The Chief Minister asserted that Thiruvalluvar represents the supreme cultural symbol of Tamil egalitarian thought, whose universal verses offer practical ethical guidance for daily life and democratic governance. Stalin appealed directly to educational institutions, government departments, and private corporate enterprises to actively integrate and promote Thirukkural values within their daily organizational cultures. He noted that spreading ethical literature nurtures empathy, integrity, and mutual respect throughout the wider community.
Stalin reaffirmed the state government's unshakeable commitment to perpetuating Tamil heritage and ensuring that classical literary treasures remain accessible to modern generations. He congratulated the young student awardees for their mastery of classical couplets, urging them to embody the moral clarity and progressive principles championed by the revered ancient sage.
