Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin issued a stern warning that the state government will ensure maximum statutory punishment for anyone committing crimes against women, irrespective of whether the offender is an ordinary individual, party supporter, police inspector, or influential figure. Stalin asserted that the Dravidian Model administration enforces an uncompromising zero-tolerance policy against sexual harassment and gender violence, directing police departments to prosecute offenders swiftly under the strictest penal provisions.
The Chief Minister rebuked opposition leaders for lecturing on women’s security, recalling notorious historical atrocities like Vachathi, Dharmapuri, and the Pollachi sexual assault scandals that occurred during AIADMK tenures. Stalin condemned opposition attempts to exploit sensitive incidents for petty political mileage, warning against disruptive agitation that compromises the academic environment of innocent students. He emphasized that genuine justice requires objective police investigation and swift judicial punishment rather than partisan theatrics.
Stalin affirmed that the law and order machinery operates with complete autonomy to protect women and children across Tamil Nadu. The state government remains dedicated to upholding public safety, strengthening fast-track judicial courts, and guaranteeing justice without fear or favor.
