Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin addressed the annual Non-Resident Tamils Day celebrations in Chennai, warmly greeting thousands of overseas delegates representing Tamil diaspora organizations from across the globe. Stalin declared that neither geographical distances nor temporal changes can sever the emotional kinship and cultural unity shared by Tamils. He underscored that the global community continues to flourish through mutual solidarity, shared linguistic identity, and common pride in peninsular heritage.
The Chief Minister highlighted that the Dravidian Model governance established a dedicated Commissionerate of Non-Resident Tamils and specialized welfare boards to protect diaspora interests. State programs offer comprehensive emergency assistance, educational scholarships for diaspora children, and legal aid for expatriate workers facing employment disputes abroad. Stalin commended overseas Tamils for excelling across modern technology, business, academia, and public service while preserving their mother tongue in foreign lands.
Stalin urged diaspora entrepreneurs to partner with the state's industrial and developmental initiatives, investing in their native districts to spur local employment. He reiterated that Tamil Nadu remains a protective homeland that cherishes the achievements and welfare of its diaspora brethren everywhere. Cultural solidarity transcends all geographical borders.
