Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin visited Sivaganga district to inaugurate welfare initiatives, distribute government assistance to beneficiaries, and unveil major infrastructure commitments under the Dravidian Model administration. Ongoing regional projects include a new government law college, an agricultural college, a Neo-IT park, and a combined drinking water scheme serving three municipalities, eight town panchayats, and 2,452 rural habitations. Stalin announced additional civic schemes to accelerate balanced regional industrialization and employment opportunities.
During his address, the Chief Minister criticized the leader of the opposition for disparaging people's welfare measures as wasteful expenditure. Stalin asserted that public funds spent on student education, maternal assistance, rural drinking water, and farmer subsidies represent essential investments in human dignity rather than unnecessary spending. He stressed that equitable state growth depends directly on uplifting marginalized communities through accessible public infrastructure and consistent social protection.
Stalin affirmed that the Dravidian Model prioritizes grassroots welfare above partisan rhetoric, ensuring that development benefits reach every district equitably. Beneficiaries received credit support, land titles, and assistive devices during the event. The administration pledged to expedite all ongoing public works across Sivaganga, maintaining strict oversight over project timelines and delivery standards.
