Addressing the public on Language Martyrs Memorial Day, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin delivered an impassioned speech, asserting that the BJP regime is launching multi-pronged political, economic, social, and cultural assaults on Tamil Nadu's distinct identity. Stalin declared that the Dravidian movement stands as an unshakeable protective fortress against these aggressive central intrusions, preserving regional self-respect and linguistic freedom for future generations.
The Chief Minister asserted that the historic language battle has not ended, emphasizing that the glorious Tamil consciousness that surmounted ancient Aryan onslaughts remains fiercely vibrant in the hearts of contemporary youth. Recalling the iconic anti-Hindi agitation slogan that Tamils were prepared to fall so that Tamil might live, Stalin declared with renewed defiance that in this modern era, Tamil will live and the Tamil people will never fall.
Stalin reminded citizens of the supreme sacrifices made by youth and scholars during the language movements of 1938 and 1965, affirming that their martyrdom continues to guide state policy. He warned central authorities that any attempt to impose Hindi or Sanskrit will encounter resolute resistance across Tamil Nadu. Stalin concluded that defending linguistic equality remains central to safeguarding India's constitutional federalism and cultural diversity.
