Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin celebrated the decisive cancellation of the proposed tungsten mining project in Arittapatti, contrasting the state's swift three-month victory with the two-year nationwide agitation required to repeal the controversial three farm laws. Stalin emphasized that while farmers across India were forced to endure prolonged protests against central indifference before securing justice, Tamil Nadu resolved the mining controversy rapidly through unified public agitation and firm state leadership.
The Chief Minister underscored that the people of Arittapatti and adjoining villages displayed exemplary vigilance in defending their fertile agricultural lands, biodiversity heritage site, and ancient Jain rock monuments. He noted that unlike past regimes that suppressed local dissent, his administration stood directly beside the protesting villagers, passing legislative resolutions and pursuing administrative channels to force the Union Government to scrap the mining auction.
Stalin affirmed that this swift resolution demonstrates the potent synergy between public resistance and a responsive state government. He declared that Tamil Nadu will never permit predatory commercial projects that threaten rural ecology, water tables, or cultural monuments. Stalin concluded that the Arittapatti victory stands as a symbol of democratic assertion, proving that no authority can overpower organized citizens backed by an empathetic government.
