Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin celebrated a monumental educational milestone, announcing the successful installation of 22,931 advanced smart classrooms across government primary schools throughout the state. Highlighting the swift execution of the project launched in June 2024, Stalin shared that School Education Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi informed him of the final installation completed at the Government Primary School in Okkiyam Thoraipakkam, Chennai, marking the total modernization of primary school instruction.
The Chief Minister emphasized that introducing interactive touchscreens, digital learning tools, and high-speed internet into rural primary classrooms democratizes foundational education, providing children from working-class families with world-class academic resources. He noted that the initiative complements the government's flagship Model Schools and Schools of Excellence, creating an integrated educational pathway that enables government school students to qualify for premier national universities.
Stalin affirmed that public school education is the ultimate source of pride and social transformation for Tamil Nadu. He commended school educators, technical teams, and department officials for completing this extensive technological upgrade in record time. Stalin reiterated that the Dravidian Model governance will continue expanding educational investments, ensuring that state-run schools lead the nation in academic excellence, digital literacy, and inclusive pedagogy.
