Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin presided over a major governmental event in Chennai, laying foundation stones and dedicating newly completed civic and welfare infrastructure initiatives across several departments. A centerpiece of the event was the foundation stone laid for a 227-crore-rupee modern Unity Mall at the Co-Optex complex in Egmore, established under the Handlooms and Textiles Department to showcase regional artisan crafts and indigenous handloom textiles.

Highlighting urban social welfare, Stalin launched the construction of 2,404 new multi-story tenements undertaken by the Tamil Nadu Urban Habitat Development Board to provide secure housing for urban poor families. He distributed 62.50 crore rupees through the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department to carry out preservation and renovation works across 2,500 historic temples, alongside inaugurating modern administrative complexes for the Revenue Department.

In the coastal and agrarian sectors, the Chief Minister laid the foundation stone for a modern fish landing center at Kooduthazhai in Tirunelveli district and inaugurated eleven completed public infrastructure works across the dairy development and fisheries departments. Stalin affirmed that simultaneous development across diverse sectors exemplifies the Dravidian Model's dedication to inclusive social welfare and balanced regional modernization.
