Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin commended the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department and Minister P.K. Sekarbabu for their dedicated execution of temple restoration works across the state. Stalin pointed out that while certain political factions exploit faith and divine worship for narrow electoral gains, the Dravidian Model administration undertakes genuine, politics-free sacred renovations to preserve historical heritage and serve devout citizens of all backgrounds.
The Chief Minister highlighted that the department has achieved historic milestones over the past four years, including the consecrated renovation of thousands of ancient temples, the retrieval of encroached temple lands worth thousands of crores, and the implementation of inclusive priesthood reforms across shrines. He stressed that preserving religious architecture and providing modern civic facilities for pilgrims demonstrates the administration's secular respect for cultural heritage.
Stalin emphasized that the true essence of governance lies in delivering spiritual and civic harmony without discrimination. He lauded departmental officials for maintaining complete financial transparency and community participation during large-scale renovation drives. Stalin concluded that his administration will continue protecting centuries-old temple heritage and retrieving public religious assets, setting an exemplary benchmark for ethical, heritage-focused public administration across the country.
