Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin declared that the state has established an undeniable national benchmark in progressive climate governance and sustainable development through the Tamil Nadu Climate Summit 3.0. Stalin emphasized that his administration has moved decisively from theoretical discussions to concrete, science-based ecological actions, creating institutional mechanisms that safeguard biodiversity while supporting sustainable economic progress across all districts.
The Chief Minister highlighted that the summit focused on three essential pillars: widespread community awareness, technological innovation in clean energy, and long-term environmental sustainability. He noted that the state's pioneering climate initiatives, including the restoration of degraded coastal ecosystems, extensive afforestation drives, and community-led water body rejuvenation, provide a proven roadmap for subnational climate adaptation across South Asia.
Stalin affirmed that the Dravidian Model governance views ecological preservation as a core moral responsibility toward coming generations. He pointed out that by fostering close collaborations between environmental researchers, green technology entrepreneurs, and local communities, Tamil Nadu is leading India's transition to a low-carbon economy. Stalin concluded that his administration will continue accelerating clean industrial policies, proving that economic development and ecological stewardship can advance harmoniously.
