Marking the centenary celebrations of former Chief Minister Muthamizharignar Kalaignar Karunanidhi, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin launched the Kalaignar Karuvoolam digital web portal, opening the visionary leader's vast literary and ideological legacy to readers worldwide. Stalin highlighted that Kalaignar's writings served as both sword and shield for the Dravidian movement, instilling linguistic pride, rationalist consciousness, and social justice values across successive generations.
The Chief Minister explained that the digital repository compiles decades of Karunanidhi's essays, stage plays, historical novels, poetry, legislative speeches, and editorial epistles into an easily searchable, high-resolution digital repository. He noted that making these historical treasures digitally accessible allows students, researchers, and cadres worldwide to study the ideological history of Tamil self-respect politics and Dravidian statecraft directly from primary source materials.
Stalin affirmed that Kalaignar's rationalist thoughts remain profoundly relevant for confronting contemporary political and cultural challenges. He urged youth to draw inspiration from Karunanidhi's literary discipline and ideological clarity to resist cultural hegemony and defend state autonomy. Stalin concluded that the Kalaignar Karuvoolam will stand as a permanent educational monument, preserving Tamil literary brilliance and democratic ideals for future generations.
