Strengthening Tamil Nadu's renowned public healthcare infrastructure, Chief Minister M.K. Stalin flagged off one hundred and forty-seven newly inducted medical service vehicles to provide free, round-the-clock emergency transport across the state. The newly launched fleet includes seventy-two modern emergency ambulances, thirty-one mortuary transport vans, and thirty-six specialized maternal and child healthcare vehicles, designed to ensure rapid medical accessibility for rural and urban populations alike.
The Chief Minister noted that Tamil Nadu's healthcare model stands as a national beacon of excellence due to consistent state investments in hospital infrastructure, medical colleges, and universal access programs. He highlighted that dedicated maternal and child healthcare vehicles play an indispensable role in reducing infant and maternal mortality by transporting expectant mothers safely to tertiary care hospitals.
Stalin emphasized that medical assistance must reach citizens during their most vulnerable moments without financial barriers. He commended healthcare personnel and emergency response teams for their dedication, assuring that the administration will continuously upgrade medical fleets with modern life-support technologies. Stalin reiterated that providing accessible, high-quality, and free healthcare to all citizens remains a non-negotiable pillar of the Dravidian Model governance.
