Stalin emphasized that Tamil Nadu is setting a progressive national benchmark in institutional climate governance by formulating scientific policies to reduce carbon emissions and safeguard delicate coastal ecosystems.
The Chief Minister highlighted that the summit brought together leading international climate scientists, environmental policy experts, industry innovators, and grassroots youth activists to deliberate on actionable solutions for renewable transition and climate adaptation. He noted that Tamil Nadu is the first Indian state to establish dedicated climate missions, including the Green Tamil Nadu Mission, the Climate Change Mission, and the Wetlands Mission, aimed at restoring natural carbon sinks.
