Commemorating the centenary celebrations of legendary farmer leader C. Narayanasamy Naidu, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin paid glowing tributes to the agrarian icon's selfless life and sacrifices on behalf of the state's farming community. Stalin celebrated Naidu as a dedicated pioneer who mobilized cultivators against unjust power tariffs and administrative exploitation, laying the foundation for modern agrarian welfare reforms in Tamil Nadu.
To honour the leader's historic contributions during his centenary year, the Chief Minister announced two major state recognitions. He declared that the railway overbridge under construction at NGO Colony on the Thudiyalur–Kovilpalayam link road in Coimbatore district will bear Narayanasamy Naidu's name. In addition, a grand commemorative centenary memorial arch will be erected at Vaiyampalayam, the birthplace where Naidu lived and spearheaded historic agricultural movements.
Stalin affirmed that the Dravidian Model government is deeply committed to fulfilling Narayanasamy Naidu's lifelong vision of agricultural self-reliance and farmer dignity. He highlighted existing state initiatives, including free agricultural electricity, dedicated crop insurance schemes, and separate agricultural budgets. Stalin pledged that his administration will continue championing agrarian rights and ensuring prosperous futures for Tamil Nadu's farming households.
