#RejectUGCdraft – Our @dmk_studentwing, MPs, and members of the #INDIA bloc, including my dear brothers Thiru. @RahulGandhi and Thiru. @yadavakhilesh, deserve gratitude for amplifying students’ voices in the capital and defending the future of education.
The RSS-BJP’s agenda is clear: to erase diverse histories, traditions, and languages in order to impose a singular identity. As my brother @RahulGandhi rightly said, the UGC draft is not merely an educational move; it is an assault on Tamil Nadu’s rich heritage and the very essence of India’s federalism.
From #NEET to #CAA to the #3FarmLaws, the DMK has led every fight to uphold our Constitution and pluralism. Today, our voice in New Delhi will resonate across India.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin extended deep gratitude to the DMK Student Wing, members of Parliament, and senior leaders of the INDIA bloc, including Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav, for mobilizing massive protests in New Delhi against the controversial University Grants Commission draft regulations. Stalin commended their resolute solidarity in amplifying student voices and resisting central policies that threaten the constitutional foundation of higher education.
The Chief Minister asserted that the ideological agenda of the RSS-BJP regime is systematically aimed at erasing regional histories, linguistic diversity, and secular traditions to impose a uniform cultural framework upon the country. Echoing Rahul Gandhi's remarks, Stalin stated that the UGC draft represents a direct assault on Tamil Nadu's proud educational achievements and constitutional federalism.
Stalin recalled that the DMK has stood at the forefront of national struggles defending educational access, constitutional pluralism, and state rights, from opposing the discriminatory NEET examination to resisting the Citizenship Amendment Act and the contentious farm laws. He affirmed that Tamil Nadu's resolute voice in the national capital will inspire progressive forces across all states, pledging to fight every move that seeks to centralize education or marginalize regional cultures.
