Concluding the second segment of his detailed briefing on the Union Budget, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin outlined the compounding grievances of the state under the #BJPCheatsTN campaign. Stalin presented evidence showing how New Delhi has systematically curtailed Tamil Nadu's financial autonomy through reduced borrowing limits, withheld GST compensation arrears, and negligible allocations for major public infrastructure programs across southern districts.
The Chief Minister emphasized that while Tamil Nadu continues to stand tall as India's second-largest state economy and leading export powerhouse, the Union Government repays this industriousness with economic stepmotherly treatment. Stalin called attention to the denial of promised funding for Chennai Metro Phase II, the prolonged stalling of Madurai and Coimbatore metro approvals, and the complete absence of special packages for MSMEs battered by national economic volatility.
Stalin asserted that the people of Tamil Nadu will not forget this systemic political and economic injustice. He declared that true federalism cannot survive if central power is utilized to punish progressive states. Stalin affirmed that the DMK will spearhead an unyielding campaign alongside democratic parties across the country to secure constitutional justice and financial autonomy.
