Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin chaired the state-level District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) review meeting at the State Secretariat, evaluating the implementation of various welfare schemes across Tamil Nadu. Stalin stated that the Tamil Nadu government has scrupulously and punctually released its full state matching contributions for centrally sponsored schemes, ensuring that developmental projects proceed smoothly without ground-level interruptions.
During the meeting, the committee passed a formal resolution calling upon the Union Government to release its committed funding share without administrative bottlenecks or ideological delays, prioritizing the welfare of grassroots beneficiaries. Stalin noted that delays in central disbursements disrupt vital civic amenities, rural infrastructure, housing construction, and social security payments meant for the poorest households.
The Chief Minister instructed district collectors and departmental secretaries to maintain rigorous monitoring mechanisms, ensuring that public works meet high engineering standards and project milestones are achieved on schedule. Stalin emphasized that administrative coordination between tiers of government must remain focused on citizen welfare rather than political disagreements. He affirmed that his administration will persistently advocate for Tamil Nadu's rightful financial shares in all joint programs.
