Advancing the policy of decentralized industrialization under the Dravidian Model governance, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin laid the foundation stones for state-of-the-art TIDEL Parks in Madurai and Tiruchirappalli. Stalin announced that these flagship information technology hubs, situated along the historic banks of the Vaigai and Cauvery rivers, will generate over 12,000 direct employment opportunities for educated youth across central and southern Tamil Nadu.
The Chief Minister explained that expanding high-grade IT infrastructure into tier-two and tier-three urban centers prevents economic over-concentration in Chennai, allowing engineering and technical graduates to secure well-paying professional careers within their home regions. Developed in coordination with Industries Minister T.R.B. Rajaa, these modern facilities feature sustainable green architecture, reliable power redundancy, advanced telecommunications, and plug-and-play office ecosystems suited for multinational software enterprises and local startups.
Stalin affirmed that distributed industrial growth ensures equitable regional development and reduces urban migration pressures. He emphasized that Tamil Nadu's skilled workforce and robust civic infrastructure make it an attractive global investment destination. Stalin concluded that establishing regional technology parks will accelerate local economic expansion and empower youth with high-value technical careers across the state.
