#StopHindiImposition
Invoking the fiery verses of revolutionary poet Bharathidasan, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin reiterated the state's historical and principled resistance against linguistic hegemony. Stalin cited Bharathidasan's famous poetry from the anti-Hindi agitations, which declared that any conspiracy to force Hindi onto Tamil youth will be defeated, affirming that if imposing outside language is made compulsory, eliminating that imposition becomes an equal necessity.
The Chief Minister highlighted that the poetic traditions of the Dravidian movement have consistently served as a philosophical rallying cry to awaken public consciousness against cultural domination. Stalin emphasized that Tamil is an ancient classical tongue cherished like mother's milk, and any external effort to subordinate regional languages under a monolithic linguistic order directly threatens democratic pluralism.
Stalin asserted that the spirit of past agitations remains vibrant in contemporary Tamil Nadu. He reiterated his administration's staunch opposition to the National Education Policy's three-language framework, asserting that the state will never permit back-door linguistic dominance. He concluded that honoring Tamil identity is tied to protecting democratic federalism, pledging that Tamil Nadu will stand firm against cultural standardization and preserve its self-respect.
