Chief Minister M.K. Stalin endorsed strong public arguments delivered by Information Technology Minister Palanivel Thiaga Rajan regarding the deepening fiscal and administrative disparities imposed by central policies on performing states. Highlighting Thiaga Rajan's presentation, Stalin criticized central authorities for adopting narrow ideological stances that effectively penalize Tamil Nadu for achieving high economic productivity, exemplary educational outcomes, and successful demographic stabilization.
The Chief Minister argued that progressive states should be incentivized and emulated rather than subjected to financial cuts and legislative disenfranchisement under the guise of proposed delimitation. He underscored that Tamil Nadu's substantial tax contributions to the national exchequer should guarantee fair fiscal devolutions and respect for state policy choices, rather than coercive mandates designed to enforce unwanted central programs like the National Education Policy.
Stalin affirmed that Tamil Nadu will continue rejecting administrative attempts to subordinate performing regional governments to centralized dictates. He warned that penalizing states for excelling in public governance damages cooperative federalism, reiterating that the DMK administration will relentlessly resist policies that undermine regional progress and state financial independence across southern India. He emphasized that collaborative dialogue must replace unilateral policy enforcement.
