Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin warmly welcomed the decisive solidarity extended by Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann toward the national campaign for fair and equitable parliamentary delimitation. Sharing video excerpts from Mann's address, Stalin highlighted the Punjab leader's sharp critique of the Union Bharatiya Janata Party government's strategy, which seeks to reward northern electoral strongholds while systematically penalizing southern and progressive states that have excelled in national development.
Stalin commended Mann's readiness to actively support and host upcoming sessions of the Joint Action Committee in Punjab, underscoring that the fight for federal equity extends far beyond peninsular India. He pointed out that both Punjab and the southern states have contributed immensely to national food security, economic modernization, and social welfare, making any reduction in their parliamentary standing fundamentally unjust. The Chief Minister stated that building bridges between northern and southern states creates a formidable democratic alliance capable of resisting centralizing policies.
Concluding his statement, Stalin emphasized that interstate solidarity reflects the true spirit of Indian constitutionalism. He asserted that joint advocacy across state boundaries will ensure that parliamentary democracy remains representative of India's diverse regional realities.
