Today, the DMK stood shoulder to shoulder with lakhs of rural #MGNREGS workers across 1,600 protest sites in Tamil Nadu, raising one thunderous question to the Union BJP Government: *#WhereIsOurMoney?*
*Denying funds meant for wages to those who toiled under the scorching sun is not just an administrative failure. It is cruelty.* The #SadistBJP Government is deliberately withholding the funds, punishing the rural poor of Tamil Nadu for rejecting them at the ballot.
Release the pending Rs. 4,034 crore in #MGNREGA funds owed to us immediately. *Stop this political sadism* against the people of Tamil Nadu.

Chief Minister M.K. Stalin stood in steadfast solidarity with rural workers across Tamil Nadu as the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam organized mass demonstrations across 1,600 protest sites. Addressing the public grievance, Stalin questioned the Union Bharatiya Janata Party government for deliberately withholding 4,034 crore rupees in wage arrears under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme. He characterized the denial of hard-earned wages to impoverished labourers toiling under the scorching sun as blatant political cruelty rather than an administrative bottleneck.
Stalin stated that the Union administration is penalizing rural citizens for rejecting central ruling policies at the ballot box. He emphasized that rural employment funds constitute a statutory entitlement vital for the survival of vulnerable village families, rather than discretionary financial charity. The Chief Minister pointed out that timely wage disbursement sustains the grassroots village economy and protects daily-wage labourers against chronic poverty and rural distress.
Reiterating his administration's uncompromising support for working families, Stalin demanded that central authorities immediately release the accumulated funds without additional preconditions. He affirmed that Tamil Nadu will persist with statewide democratic mobilizations until every rural worker receives their rightful statutory remuneration.
