Hon'ble PM Thiru @NarendraModi, I have requested a meeting with you, alongside MPs from various parties, to present our memorandum on the concerns surrounding the proposed delimitation. This follows resolutions from the #JointActionCommittee meeting for #FairDelimitation in Chennai.
As previously mentioned, we urgently seek your time to convey our united stance on this critical issue for our people. Awaiting your earliest response.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin formally requested an urgent meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, leading a multi-party delegation of Members of Parliament, to present a comprehensive memorandum outlining deep concerns regarding proposed parliamentary delimitation. Stalin explained that the memorandum reflects collective resolutions adopted by the Joint Action Committee for Fair Delimitation convened in Chennai. He underscored that regional parties from across the southern states have forged a united consensus to resist population-based seat reallocations.
The Chief Minister stressed that reallocating parliamentary seats strictly based on current census data would penalize states that successfully implemented national population control and socioeconomic development policies. He noted that reducing the legislative strength of southern states would undermine cooperative federalism and create acute political imbalances in the Union legislature. Stalin urged the Prime Minister to grant immediate audience to the parliamentary delegation so that the collective grievances of millions of southern citizens can be communicated directly.
Stalin reaffirmed that Tamil Nadu will continue to champion fair delimitation frameworks through national political and judicial forums. He expressed hope that the Union government will act with statesmanship by addressing regional anxieties and preserving constitutional equity across all states.
