Chief Minister M.K. Stalin inaugurated 326 new public library buildings constructed by the Directorate of Public Libraries and dedicated modern classroom blocks built under the Child-Friendly School Infrastructure Development Scheme. School Education Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi reported that over the past four years, the government has executed more than 16,000 infrastructure works across Tamil Nadu schools, encompassing new classrooms, science laboratories, sanitation facilities, and boundary walls. Stalin expressed profound satisfaction with this extensive statewide educational modernization.
The Chief Minister emphasized that robust physical infrastructure in government schools constitutes the indispensable bedrock for student development and academic excellence. He noted that equipping village and town schools with modern learning tools eliminates disparities between public and private educational institutions. Stalin highlighted that state libraries serve as vibrant community learning hubs, democratizing access to books, competitive examination literature, and digital research materials for underprivileged students.
Stalin affirmed that his government will maintain substantial capital allocations to upgrade public schools across all districts. He reiterated that delivering high-quality education and nurturing student skills remain the ultimate investments for building an equitable, prosperous future for Tamil Nadu.
