Addressing a public gathering from the border district of Tiruvallur, Chief Minister M.K. Stalin issued a direct political challenge to the Bharatiya Janata Party and its regional allies. Stalin asserted that Tamil Nadu possesses a distinct cultural character and political ethos that rejects authoritarian intrusion from New Delhi. Evoking traditional Tamil poetry on self-respect, he declared that no amount of pressure from central enforcement agencies could break the state's democratic resolve.
The Chief Minister emphasized that the upcoming 2026 assembly elections will reaffirm the public's enduring trust in Dravidian Model administration. He described the state's governing philosophy as fundamentally autonomous, reiterating that Tamil Nadu has never surrendered its policy independence, linguistic identity, or self-respect to central authority. Stalin characterized political harassment by central agencies as futile attempts to undermine an administration delivering daily welfare to working families.
Stalin called upon democratic forces to sustain grassroots mobilization under the banner of regional resistance. He affirmed that Tamil Nadu will continuously defend state rights, federal autonomy, and democratic decentralization against central encroachment, ensuring that regional voices prevail decisively in future democratic contests.
