Tamil Nadu charts a bold course in electronics manufacturing.
I launched the Tamil Nadu Electronics Components Manufacturing Scheme to drive value-added production and attract large-scale investments in component manufacturing.
By matching the @GoI_MeitY's subsidy framework, we target ₹30,000 crore in investments and 60,000 jobs—reinforcing Tamil Nadu’s leadership in India’s electronics ecosystem. #DravidianModel @TRBRajaa
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin launched the ambitious Tamil Nadu Electronics Components Manufacturing Scheme to accelerate high-value industrial production and solidify the state's leadership in the global hardware supply chain. Structured to complement and match the central Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology subsidy framework, the specialized scheme provides attractive capital incentives and operational subsidies for component manufacturers. The state government targets mobilizing thirty thousand crore rupees in fresh private investments while generating over sixty thousand high-skilled manufacturing jobs for local youth.
Stalin highlighted that Tamil Nadu already leads India in electronic exports, and the new component manufacturing initiative will move domestic manufacturing up the global value curve. By incentivizing the local fabrication of semiconductors, printed circuit boards, and sophisticated hardware sub-assemblies, the scheme reduces import dependency and fosters a resilient industrial ecosystem. The initiative will also stimulate supply chain linkages across industrial corridors in Sriperumbudur, Hosur, and Coimbatore.
The Chief Minister reaffirmed that proactive industrial policies under the Dravidian Model continue to position Tamil Nadu as South Asia's premier manufacturing powerhouse. He reiterated his government's resolve to achieve a trillion-dollar economy through high-tech industrial expansion.
