Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin commended the enthusiastic participation of thousands of youth in the statewide Tamil Week celebrations organized to honor revolutionary poet Pavendhar Bharathidasan. Congratulating the students and young scholars who won literary prizes in elocution, poetry, and essay competitions, Stalin expressed immense pride at witnessing Bharathidasan's inspiring verses resonate across academic institutions. He emphasized that Pavendhar's writings embody Dravidian cultural awakening, linguistic pride, gender emancipation, rationalism, and unwavering commitment to egalitarian social justice.
Stalin underscored that imbibing Bharathidasan's radical literary ideas remains essential for contemporary youth facing regressive cultural challenges. He reminded the youth contingent that winning competition trophies represents only the initial step in a much larger ideological mission. The Chief Minister urged young prize winners to carry Bharathidasan's egalitarian thoughts into everyday public discourse, fighting social discrimination and defending linguistic self-respect.
The Chief Minister reaffirmed that the Dravidian Model government remains deeply dedicated to nurturing Tamil literary heritage and rationalist thought among the younger generation. He called on youth to uphold the noble vision of human equality articulated by Bharathidasan throughout their personal and public lives.
