Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin led a comprehensive administrative event dedicated to women's empowerment and police welfare, inaugurating new Thozhi working women's hostels in St. Thomas Mount, Hosur, and Tiruvannamalai. Simultaneously, Stalin laid foundation stones for fourteen additional Thozhi hostels in key industrial and urban centers, including Taramani, Chepauk, Madurai, Coimbatore, Nagapattinam, Krishnagiri, Erode, Kanchipuram, Cuddalore, Dharmapuri, Theni, Sivaganga, Ranipet, and Karur. The state-run hostels provide affordable, secure, and modern accommodation equipped with digital security, biometric access, and cafeteria amenities for employed women.
During the official ceremony, the Chief Minister also distributed formal compassionate appointment orders to 115 legal heirs of police personnel who died while serving in the line of duty. Handing over government appointment letters, Stalin expressed deep institutional solidarity with the bereaved families, emphasizing that the state stands firmly behind the welfare of its dedicated law enforcement personnel.
Stalin asserted that facilitating safe, affordable urban housing for working women directly boosts female labor force participation across Tamil Nadu. He reiterated that expanding social security for administrative and police staff remains an unwavering priority of the Dravidian Model.
