Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin led an extensive welfare distribution and civic inspection tour across his Kolathur assembly constituency in Chennai. As part of statewide initiatives spearheaded by the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments department, Stalin laid foundation stones for modern senior citizen residential homes in Chennai, Palani, and Tirunelveli. The dedicated retirement homes will provide elderly residents with secure lodging, balanced nutritional meals, and continuous healthcare supervision under government care.

During the constituency outreach, the Chief Minister distributed sewing machines and portable laptops to young beneficiaries trained at the Anitha Achievers Academy to strengthen their professional self-reliance. He handed over prescription eyeglasses to citizens treated through the Kalaignar 100 Eye Hospital programme, provided learning kits to schoolchildren, and presented retrofitted motorized scooters to persons with disabilities. Stalin also inaugurated the newly modernized Thanikachalam Nagar canal, an upgraded stormwater channel designed to prevent monsoon inundation across surrounding residential neighborhoods.

Interacting warmly with local residents and neighborhood delegations, Stalin reaffirmed that grassroots constituency engagement remains central to his administrative ethos. He declared that direct public service ensures welfare schemes promptly reach every eligible household.
