🐟 272.70 கோடி ரூபாயில் பல்வேறு வசதிகளுடன் ஆண்டுக்கு 7000 டன் அளவுக்கு மீன்களைக் கையாளும் வகையிலும், 6,250 மீனவர்கள் நேரடியாகப் பயன்பெறும் வகையிலும் இதனை உருவாக்கியுள்ளோம்.
🐟 அதுமட்டுமல்ல, இராமநாதபுரம், தூத்துக்குடி, திருவள்ளூர், கடலூர், விழுப்புரம், மயிலாடுதுறை, புதுக்கோட்டை, காஞ்சிபுரம் எனத் தமிழ்நாடு முழுவதும் மீனவர்களுக்காக அமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ள மீன்பிடி துறைமுகங்கள், மீன் இறங்குதளங்கள் உள்ளிட்டவற்றைத் திறந்து வைத்துப் புதிய பணிகளுக்கும் அடிக்கல் நாட்டியிருக்கிறேன். சிறப்புத் திட்டங்களையும் கடனுதவிகளையும் வழங்கினேன்.
🐟 வேறு எந்த மாநிலத்திலும் மீனவர்களுக்காக இப்படி இத்தனை திட்டங்கள் இல்லை என மீனவத் தோழர்களிடம் பெருமிதம் பொங்கச் சொல்லிவிட்டு வந்தேன்!
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin inaugurated Indias maiden dedicated tuna fishing harbor at Tiruvottiyur in Chennai, constructed at a capital outlay of 272.70 crore rupees. Designed with state-of-the-art cold storage, modern hygienic handling yards, and advanced navigational facilities, the deep-sea harbor is equipped to process seven thousand metric tonnes of oceanic fish annually, directly benefiting over 6,250 traditional and mechanized marine fishers. Stalin noted that deep-sea tuna harvesting will significantly expand export earnings while securing lucrative livelihoods for coastal fishing families.
Simultaneously, the Chief Minister dedicated newly completed fishing harbors, modern auction halls, and upgraded fish landing centers across eight coastal districts, including Ramanathapuram, Thoothukudi, Tiruvallur, Cuddalore, Villupuram, Mayiladuthurai, Pudukkottai, and Kanchipuram. Stalin also laid foundation stones for fresh coastal protection works, distributed subsidized marine safety gear, and disbursed low-interest institutional credit assistance to artisanal fisherfolk. He noted with pride that no other Indian state matches Tamil Nadus comprehensive policy scale and welfare spending dedicated to coastal fisher communities.
Stalin affirmed that the Dravidian Model governance model accords paramount priority to defending the socioeconomic dignity and security of coastal laborers. He pledged continuous government backing for modernizing Tamil Nadus vibrant maritime economy.
