Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin delivered a comprehensive special address at the regional Agricultural Exhibition and Seminar convened in Perundurai, Erode district. Speaking before an audience of agricultural scientists, agronomists, farmer producer organizations, and local cultivators, Stalin highlighted the transformative agricultural reforms enacted under the dedicated state agricultural budget. He emphasized that establishing a separate budget for agriculture has enabled tailored policy interventions, increased capital investment in canal desilting, and systematic modernization of farm mechanization.
The Chief Minister reviewed practical exhibits demonstrating water-saving micro-irrigation systems, high-yielding climate-resilient crop varieties, post-harvest storage solutions, and food-processing technologies designed to double farmer incomes. Stalin noted that the state government actively facilitates direct market linkages, eliminating predatory intermediaries so that cultivators retain maximum economic value for their produce. He commended district authorities and agricultural extension officers for organizing informative seminars that bridge the gap between academic research and practical field applications.
Stalin affirmed that the upliftment of agrarian families remains fundamental to the inclusive economic vision of the Dravidian Model administration. He reaffirmed his government resolve to support farmers with dependable subsidies and sustainable water management.
