Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin unveiled six major civic and infrastructure initiatives for Salem district during a massive public gathering, while announcing an upward revision in minimum procurement prices for paddy to benefit farmers across the state. The procurement increase provides direct financial relief to agrarian families preparing for the upcoming harvest season, shielding them from rising input costs. Stalin also supervised the distribution of comprehensive welfare aid packages to thousands of beneficiaries from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.

Addressing the assembly, Stalin cautioned citizens against political forces that compromise regional autonomy for narrow personal gains. He criticized former Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami and the AIADMK leadership for functioning as subservient puppets to the Union government, noting that central leaders openly boast about imposing direct administrative control over Tamil Nadu. Stalin warned that returning such political entities to power would dismantle decades of hard-won federal rights and surrender state sovereignty to centralized Delhi rule.

Stalin affirmed that the people of Tamil Nadu will firmly reject subservient political alliances and uphold self-respect. He declared that the Dravidian Model governance framework will continue safeguarding state autonomy and farmer welfare.
