Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. The Chief Minister pointed out that more than a decade has elapsed since the central government first announced the premier medical institution, with little more than a boundary wall erected at the designated Thoppur site. Stalin questioned whether central leaders believe that superficial digital animations released ahead of the 2026 assembly elections could appease Tamil Nadu voters who have waited ten frustrating years for actual healthcare facilities. He emphasized that southern districts urgently require specialized super-speciality medical services, not hollow electoral promises.
