Reaffirming Tamil Nadu's steadfast opposition to the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, Chief Minister M.K. Stalin declared that recurring national scandals prove that NEET is designed to serve private coaching markets rather than recognize genuine academic merit. Stalin emphasized that the centralized testing mechanism represents an ongoing moral crisis that corrupts medical admissions, citing widespread question paper leaks, examination center malpractices, and score irregularities that continuously shatter the aspirations of hardworking students from non-affluent backgrounds.
The Chief Minister characterized NEET as fundamentally flawed from inception to execution, noting that affluent students who can afford exorbitant commercial coaching fees enjoy disproportionate advantages over talented rural scholars. He condemned the AIADMK leadership for functioning as submissive spectators at RSS and BJP conclaves instead of courageously defending Tamil Nadu's students before their central political patrons. Stalin pointed out that the previous government compromised state educational autonomy by surrendering medical admission powers to central agencies.
Stalin reiterated his administration's determination to abolish NEET and restore state-level medical admissions based on school examination marks. He called upon progressive states to unite against centralized entrance tests to democratize medical education.
