Chairing a comprehensive state-level law and order review meeting with senior police officials and administrative heads, Chief Minister M.K. Stalin issued strict instructions to prevent crimes proactively and enforce prompt deterrent punishment without fear or favor. Stalin affirmed that under the Dravidian Model governance, anyone engaging in unlawful activity will face uncompromising legal action, regardless of whether the perpetrator is a hardened criminal, politically influential individual, or uniform-wearing police personnel.
The Chief Minister specifically underscored zero tolerance regarding illicit narcotics distribution, illicit liquor manufacture, offenses against women, and custodial abuses, warning that any dereliction of official duty will invite severe administrative and criminal repercussions. He instructed field officers to maintain vigilant surveillance, act decisively on intelligence inputs, and dismantle criminal networks before they threaten public safety. Stalin stressed that public confidence in law enforcement relies directly upon swift justice and transparent investigations.
Stalin reiterated that maintaining peace and communal harmony provides the necessary stability for Tamil Nadu's industrial and social progress. He urged police personnel to discharge their duties with professional integrity, empathy, and absolute fairness toward all citizens throughout the state.
