Highlighting the extensive social and spiritual services rendered under the Dravidian Model governance, Chief Minister M.K. Stalin announced the solemnization of 576 community temple weddings conducted in a single day under the auspices of the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department. With these ceremonies, the administration has successfully organized a cumulative total of 2,376 community marriages, extending valuable material support, gold mangalsutras, and essential household utility items to newly married couples from economically modest backgrounds.
Stalin observed that under his leadership, the department has achieved historic records, including conducting thousands of temple consecrations, recovering encroached temple lands worth thousands of crores, and comprehensively restoring ancient shrines across Tamil Nadu. The Chief Minister pointed out that utilizing temple administrative resources for the collective welfare of ordinary citizens fulfills the egalitarian vision of rational spiritual governance, ensuring that temples serve as welcoming spaces of community celebration rather than exclusivity.
The Chief Minister affirmed that his administration respects devotees' sentiments while promoting social harmony and equitable access to divine institutions. He reiterated that the Dravidian Model government will perpetually safeguard cultural assets while directly aiding underprivileged families across Tamil Nadu.
