Editorial context

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin laid the foundation stone for the prestigious Tamil Knowledge Campus at Taramani in Chennai, being established at a cost of 40 crore rupees. The Dravidian Model government allocated 30,000 square feet of prime land to construct the world-class intellectual hub for the renowned Roja Muthiah Research Library. The institution houses over five lakh rare historical documents, literary volumes, and archival manuscripts on premises originally granted during the administration of former Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi.

Stalin lauded the library for its monumental global contributions to Tamil scholarship, intellectual research, and digital preservation in collaboration with various state departments. He affirmed that the new knowledge campus will function as an indispensable repository of Tamil cultural history, linguistics, and civilization, providing advanced research infrastructure for international scholars, educators, and future generations seeking reliable historical knowledge.

The Chief Minister noted that protecting classical heritage and supporting pioneering research represents a sacred duty of the state. He pledged that Tamil Nadu will continuously invest in modern cultural institutions that celebrate its profound linguistic legacy globally, ensuring enduring intellectual leadership.
