Editorial context

Felicitating Jamal Mohamed College in Tiruchirappalli on achieving its momentous 75th anniversary, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin commended the premier minority educational institution for its distinguished contributions to higher learning, social justice, and communal harmony. Stalin recalled that the college was established by visionary philanthropists who drew inspiration from Mahatma Gandhi's freedom struggle and Thanthai Periyar's unyielding resistance against linguistic hegemony and Hindi imposition, creating a vibrant campus that educates thousands of underprivileged students.

The Chief Minister urged the student community to anchor their lives in progressive intellectual traditions, noting that great thinkers like Mahatma Gandhi, Thanthai Periyar, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, and Karl Marx illuminate diverse humanitarian paths toward social emancipation. Stalin issued a passionate warning advising students to reject the hateful, divisive ideology of Nathuram Godse and sectarian forces that sow bigotry and violence. He stressed that academic education is incomplete without human empathy, secular tolerance, and social responsibility.

Stalin reaffirmed that the Dravidian Model administration will vigorously protect educational institutions that promote social harmony. He concluded that preserving Tamil Nadu's secular campus culture remains essential for national democratic progress.

This is an initiative of unofficial DMK and Dravidian Ideology supporter, a fan of Thanthai Periyar, Perarignar Anna and Kalaignar — not affiliated with any official DMK party or persons.
