Marking the centenary conclusion of Thavathiru Kundrakudi Adigalar, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin paid rich tributes to the revered spiritual leader who fearlessly unified Tamil theology with progressive social justice. Stalin honored Adigalar as a revolutionary reformer who championed the performance of temple worship in the Tamil language and vigorously advocated the constitutional right of persons of all castes to become temple archakas, articulating this historic cause during his tenure in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Council.
The Chief Minister highlighted Adigalar's close camaraderie with Dravidian stalwarts Thanthai Periyar, Perarignar Anna, and Muthamizharignar Kalaignar, as well as his active participation in the historic anti-Hindi agitations. Stalin commended the internationally acclaimed Kundrakudi Village Development Plan, inspired by Adigalar's visit to the Soviet Union and praised by Prime Minister Indira Gandhi as an exemplary cooperative model of rural economic self-reliance. He noted that Adigalar eschewed ostentatious religious rituals to advance human equality and universal fraternity.
Stalin expressed warm wishes for Kundrakudi Ponnambala Adigalar to continue this noble social legacy. He reaffirmed that Tamil Nadu will forever cherish Kundrakudi Adigalar's progressive spiritual leadership.
