Releasing poet Vairamuthu's new commentary titled Valluvar Marai - Vairamuthu Urai, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin celebrated the work as a powerful ideological sword and shield protecting the egalitarian legacy of saint-poet Thiruvalluvar. Stalin recalled former Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi's famous remark comparing writing a commentary on the Thirukkural to attempting to drape a golden shawl over the Himalayas, emphasizing that the Dravidian movement has continually illuminated Valluvar's verses in the progressive light of rationality and social justice.

The Chief Minister described Thiruvalluvar as an ancient rebel and social justice pioneer who envisioned an egalitarian society free from birth-based discrimination, religious orthodoxy, and feudal hierarchies. Stalin strongly condemned right-wing communal elements for attempting to appropriate Thiruvalluvar by disguising him in sectarian saffron robes and distorting his universal secular philosophy. He stated that Vairamuthu's poetic commentary provides sharp intellectual defenses against such cultural revisionism, restoring Valluvar's timeless humanitarian wisdom to contemporary generations.

Stalin concluded that Thirukkural remains the universal ethical guide for the Dravidian movement. He affirmed that Tamil Nadu will steadfastly safeguard its secular literary heritage against all ideological subversion.
