Editorial context

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin strongly condemned recent controversial public debates concerning veteran leader K. Kamaraj, urging political commentators and citizens to refrain from divisive controversies that dishonor revered national icons. Stalin emphasized that public figures must preserve historical decorum when discussing leaders who dedicated their entire lives to public welfare, secular coexistence, and educational advancement.

Recalling the enduring respect uniting Dravidian pioneers with Kamaraj, Stalin noted that Thanthai Periyar hailed him as Pachai Thamizhar for his native integrity and welfare commitments. He highlighted that Perarignar Anna chose not to field an opposition candidate against Kamaraj during the historic Gudiyatham by-election, illustrating the dignified statesmanship of the era. Stalin also recounted that former Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi accorded state funeral honors to Kamaraj, built his memorial, and declared his birth anniversary as Educational Development Day, while Kamaraj personally attended Stalin's wedding despite ill health.

Stalin urged the public to honor Kamaraj's vision by defending social justice, secular harmony, and educational equity. He affirmed that democratic unity must prevail over unnecessary disputes to protect Tamil Nadu's progressive legacy and collective social harmony.

This is an initiative of unofficial DMK and Dravidian Ideology supporter, a fan of Thanthai Periyar, Perarignar Anna and Kalaignar — not affiliated with any official DMK party or persons.
