Addressing DMK members of Parliament ahead of the Monsoon Session, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin issued unambiguous directives to challenge the eleven-year record of the Union Bharatiya Janata Party government. Stalin characterized the central regime as an authoritarian arrangement that systematically infringes upon citizen liberties, encroaches upon state autonomy, imposes Hindi and Sanskrit across national institutions, and nurtures communal divisions. He emphasized that New Delhi has consistently discriminated against Tamil Nadu by withholding statutory education funds and delaying clearance for crucial developmental projects.
Stalin urged party lawmakers to function as the unyielding voice of democratic conscience inside Parliament, representing the collective aspirations of the Indian people. He instructed MPs to coordinate with opposition parties to safeguard fiscal federalism, constitutional state rights, and linguistic equality. The Chief Minister stressed that parliamentary interventions must expose central financial favoritism and demand transparent allocations for southern states.
Stalin reaffirmed that the DMK parliamentary caucus will stand courageously at the forefront of democratic resistance in both houses of Parliament. He concluded that defending federalism remains essential to preserving India's constitutional unity, secular values, and decentralized democracy.
