Commemorating a historic social justice victory that secured 20,088 professional educational seats for backward and oppressed communities, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin declared that reservation is an indisputable fundamental right that fulfills the generational aspirations of countless working-class families. Stalin reflected that when feudal oppression sprouted roots and entrenched itself as the caste hierarchy to subjugate working people, the Dravidian movement refused to resign itself to cruel destiny, organizing relentless political struggles to secure affirmative action rights in education and government employment.
The Chief Minister emphasized that the historic significance of the social justice struggle must be continuously retold to educate younger generations against reactionary forces that seek to dismantle reservation protections through covert judicial and bureaucratic stratagems. Stalin warned against divisive political maneuvers engineered to pit marginalized communities against one another, asserting that collective vigilance and ideological clarity remain essential to thwart anti-reservation conspiracies and preserve constitutional guarantees of equality.
Stalin concluded that the DMK will forever stand at the forefront of the battle for social justice. He reaffirmed that his government will tirelessly safeguard affirmative action rights across Tamil Nadu.
