Stalin celebrated global electric vehicle giant VinFast commencing manufacturing operations at its newly constructed facility in Thoothukudi just eighteen months after signing the initial investment agreement. Stalin emphasized that transitioning from a preliminary memorandum of understanding to full-fledged automotive manufacturing within a record eighteen-month timeline stands as compelling proof of the Dravidian Model governance, demonstrating that Tamil Nadu delivers on industrial commitments with unmatched bureaucratic speed, agility, and administrative precision.

The Chief Minister detailed that the state-of-the-art electric vehicle production complex represents an initial Phase 1 capital investment of 1,300 crore rupees, forming part of a comprehensive 16,000 crore rupee total investment commitment that will generate more than 3,500 direct technical and assembly jobs in its initial phase. Stalin underscored that establishing major advanced automotive assembly lines in Thoothukudi accelerates regional industrial decentralization, transforming the coastal port belt into a premier global hub for sustainable green mobility.
