On the solemn memorial anniversary of former Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi, DMK president and Chief Minister M.K. Stalin paid deeply emotional homage to the iconic Dravidian stalwart. Stalin poetically described Kalaignar as the cherished child born to Muthuvelar and Anjugam Ammaiyar, and the transformative ideological flame gifted to the Tamil people by Thanthai Periyar and Perarignar Anna. He reflected on Kalaignar's remarkable seventy-year career dedicated to dismantling caste hegemony, promoting language rights, and pioneering foundational welfare institutions.

The Chief Minister affirmed that Kalaignar transformed Tamil Nadu into a progressive modern powerhouse through his visionary five tenures as Chief Minister, establishing an indelible legacy of social justice and industrial growth. Stalin led thousands of party functionaries and citizens in pledging to preserve and advance these historic achievements, vowing to march forward guided by Kalaignar's enduring principles of everything for everyone and Tamil Nadu first in every sphere of human endeavor.

Stalin urged party cadres to honor Kalaignar's memory through continuous grassroots public service and dedicated welfare activities across the state. He concluded that Kalaignar's ideological light will forever illuminate the path of Dravidian governance toward egalitarian progress.
